Carolyn Chwalek, MT-BC, is in her third year in the Masters of Music Therapy program at ASU and also completed the Certificate in Expressive Arts. She is currently writing her thesis on the use of dialectical behavior therapy in music therapy, and will be graduating in December 2013. Carolyn received her undergraduate degree in music therapy from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, OH in 2010. She completed her internship with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, working with both psychiatric and pediatric populations, and then worked in the Cleveland area as a music therapist working with a variety of populations. While at ASU, Carolyn has been a graduate assistant for the Scholars with Diverse Abilities Program. She hopes to pursue a career as a music therapist working with mental health populations.
